Short answer
With Sign PDF a handyman uploads a one-page estimate or job agreement, checks the signature and date boxes, and sends it to the customer, who signs on their phone in a minute. It is most useful for bigger jobs and for the 'while you're here' extras that turn a two-hour visit into a full day.

Does a handyman need a written contract?
For a $90 shelf, probably not. For a day of mixed jobs, a punch list for a landlord, or anything over a few hundred dollars, yes. The written agreement is what you point to when a customer remembers the price differently or adds three jobs and expects them free.
Keep it to one page. Name the customer and address, list each job with a price or an hourly rate, say who supplies materials and at what markup, give a start window, and include a line on how extra work is agreed.
Know where handyman work stops
Several US states cap the value of work someone can do without a contractor's licence, and electrical, gas and many plumbing jobs need a licensed tradesperson almost everywhere. Your agreement is a good place to say what you do not do. Check your own state or local rules before taking on anything near those limits.
The 'while you're here' list
Most handymen lose money on the extras. The customer points at a sticking door and a dripping tap, you fix them, and the invoice becomes an argument. Instead, add the extras to a short change order on your phone, send it, and wait the minute it takes them to sign.
If you wrote the estimate on a pad, photograph it and upload the photo. Sign PDF turns it into a PDF, places the signature and date boxes, and the customer signs on their phone. They need their email open on that phone to get the six-digit code.
Pricing for a one-person business
If you only need a signature on your bigger jobs, Light at $5 a month covers 2 sent documents. If every job gets a signed estimate, Full at $10 a month is unlimited and lets you save your job agreement as a template. Drafts are free, and you can upload a document and see the boxes placed before you pay.
We do not send invoices, take card payments or book visits. Keep your invoicing app; use Sign PDF for the agreement.
Questions people ask
Can a landlord sign a handyman punch list for a rental?
Yes. Send it to the landlord or property manager by email. They can sign from anywhere, so you do not need them at the property.
What if the customer does not have email on their phone?
Signers confirm a code sent to their email, and we do not send links by text message. If they cannot get email, they can sign later on another device, or use paper for that job.
Can I sign the agreement too?
Yes. Add yourself as a signer, before or after the customer.
How long does it take to set up?
Sign up with Google, upload the estimate, check the boxes and send. Most people send their first document in a few minutes.
Send your next handyman job agreement for signature
Upload it from your phone or laptop. The boxes go in the right places, your client signs on their phone, and you get a sealed copy back.
