Short answer
Send your kitchen fitting contract and the approved layout drawing through Sign PDF, and the client signs and initials each page from their phone before you place the unit order. Use a separate one-page sign-off when the worktops are templated, because stone is cut to that template and cannot go back.

Supply and fit, or labour only: say which
Half the arguments in kitchen fitting start with who supplied what. If the client bought the units from a merchant and you are fitting them, the contract should say you are not responsible for missing panels, damaged doors or a delivery that arrives a week late. If you supply them, it should say which range, which door and handle, and what happens if a colour is discontinued.
Spell out the trades that are not yours. Gas and most electrical work need a registered or licensed tradesperson in most places, and the contract should name who is doing it and whether it is in your price.
Get the layout drawing initialled on every page
The layout drawing is the real contract for a kitchen. Upload it alongside your terms and type 'client initials every page' in the editor's assistant; we add an initials box to each elevation and plan. If the client later says the bin cupboard was meant to be on the left, the initialled revision C is the answer.
Two homeowners usually both want a say. Add both as signers with their own emails and set the order so they sign before you.
Worktops, bespoke orders and cancellation rights
Stone and quartz worktops are templated after the base units go in and are cut to that template. Send a short sign-off when the templater has been, confirming sink position, hob cut-out, overhang and upstand height. Once that is signed, the order is made to measure, and your terms should say it is non-refundable.
Contracts signed in the customer's home often carry a legal cooling-off period. In the UK the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give 14 days for off-premises contracts, and in the US the FTC's Cooling-Off Rule and many state home improvement laws give a window to cancel. Put the notice in the document you send, and if the client wants work to start inside that period, get that request in writing too. This is not legal advice; check the rules where you work.
How Sign PDF fits around your kitchen software
Your design software produces the drawings and your accounts package raises the invoices. We do neither, and we do not take card payments or stage payments. What we do is put the right boxes on whatever PDF or Word file you already use, send it, and give you back a sealed copy with a certificate showing who signed, from which device, and when.
Kitchen jobs generate several documents each: the contract, the drawing, the worktop sign-off, and a change order or two. That is why most fitters choose Full at $10 a month for unlimited documents. Light at $5 covers 2 documents a month and suits someone fitting one kitchen at a time.
Questions people ask
Can I send the contract and the layout drawing together?
Upload them as one PDF and the client signs once, initialling each page of the drawing. If you send them separately, each counts as its own document.
What if the client changes the layout after signing?
Send the new revision with a short change order showing any price difference. The original sealed copy stays as it was, so you have a record of both versions.
Can the client sign on the shop computer in my showroom?
Yes. The signing link works in any browser, so they can open it on a showroom laptop or their own phone. They confirm a code sent to their email first.
Does Sign PDF collect the deposit?
No. We do not take payments. Send your deposit invoice from your usual accounting tool and reference the signed contract.
Send your next kitchen supply and fit agreement for signature
Upload it from your phone or laptop. The boxes go in the right places, your client signs on their phone, and you get a sealed copy back.
