  • You want your data hosted in the EU and billing in euros.
  • You send 2 requests a month or fewer and want it free.
  • You want the service in French, German, Italian or Spanish; our signing pages are English only.
  • You want identity checks or electronic seals, which Youtrust is adding.
  • You need bulk send, Zapier or HubSpot, available from Plus.

Yousign is becoming Youtrust

Yousign is a French e-signature company. Its pricing page now loads at youtrust.com, and the company's announcement says it is widening into identity checks, bank account checks and electronic seals under the new name.

Prices are shown in euros excluding VAT. The pricing page says data is hosted in the EU and that each signature meets eIDAS norms.

What each Yousign plan includes

Free costs nothing and allows 2 signature requests a month, with up to 5 signers each and unlimited self-signing. One is shown at €9 a month, with yearly billing at €108 instead of €132, for 10 requests a month and one template. Plus is shown at €23 a user a month (€276 a year) and Pro at €38 a user a month (€456 a year), both with unlimited requests.

You can pay month to month. On One, if you reach 10 requests, you can keep drafts and send them the following month. Advanced electronic signatures are a yearly add-on on Plus and Pro, and qualified signatures cost from €10 each in bundles of 10 or more, or €15 each when bought singly on a monthly plan.

Qualified and advanced signatures

This is the main reason to choose Yousign. Under the EU eIDAS Regulation, a qualified electronic signature has the same legal effect as a handwritten one in every member state. Some contracts and some industries in the EU expect one.

Sign PDF provides simple electronic signatures, backed by a certificate of completion, email code confirmation, a hash-chained audit trail and a timestamped seal. Courts weigh that evidence for ordinary contracts, but it is not a QES. If your counterparty or regulator asks for an advanced or qualified signature, use Yousign. This is not legal advice.

Where Sign PDF is the better buy

For someone sending ordinary contracts in English, our Full plan gives unlimited documents for $10 a month with one price for the account. On Yousign, unlimited requests start on Plus, priced per user.

We also place the signature, initials and date boxes for you. Yousign's pricing page describes adding fields such as signatures, text and checkboxes, and does not mention automatic placement.

Questions people ask

Is Yousign the same as Youtrust?

Yes. Yousign is rebranding as Youtrust, and its pricing page now loads at youtrust.com. The company says the new name reflects identity checks and electronic seals alongside signatures.

Is Yousign free?

There is a free plan with 2 signature requests a month and up to 5 signers per request, plus a 14-day free trial of paid plans.

Does Sign PDF offer qualified electronic signatures?

No. Sign PDF provides simple electronic signatures with strong evidence attached. For a QES under eIDAS, use a provider that sells them, such as Yousign. Ask a lawyer if you are unsure which level a document needs.

Is Sign PDF valid in the EU?

Yes, as a simple electronic signature. Article 25 of eIDAS says an electronic signature cannot be denied legal effect just because it is electronic. Some documents still need a qualified signature, ink or a notary. This is not legal advice.

Which is cheaper for unlimited documents?

Sign PDF Full is $10 a month for the whole account. Yousign's first unlimited plan, Plus, is shown at €23 a user a month on yearly billing.
