Merge PDF files into one

Merge PDF files

Choose two or more PDFs, or pictures of pages. You can add more and change the order next.

Choose files

Your files stay in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Short answer

Choose two or more PDFs below, put them in the order you want and press Merge to download one combined PDF. It is free with no account and no watermark, and the joining happens in your browser, so your files are never uploaded. You can add JPG or PNG photos of pages too; each becomes a page of its own.

How to merge PDF files into one

  1. 1

    Choose your files

Press Choose files and pick two or more PDFs, or drop them on the box. Photos of pages in JPG or PNG work too.

  2. 2

    Set the order

Use the arrows to move each file up or down. The merged PDF follows this order from top to bottom.

  3. 3

    Merge and download

Press Merge. The new PDF is built on your device and the Download button saves it.

When merging helps

A contract and its schedules, a set of signed forms for one client, receipts for an expenses claim, or a CV with its cover letter: anywhere one person expects one file, merging saves them opening five attachments and saves you explaining which order to read them in.

It also matters before signing. When a contract arrives as several PDFs, merge them first and send the single file for signature, so the signer sees and signs the whole agreement and the certificate covers every page.

What carries over and what doesn't

Every page is copied as it is, with its text, pictures, links within the page and size. A few things live at the level of the whole file rather than the page, and those are not combined.

  • Bookmarks and the table of contents panel from the original files are not carried over
  • Fillable form fields may stop being fillable, so fill forms in before you merge
  • Password-protected PDFs need the password removed first
  • Pages of different sizes stay their own size; nothing is stretched

Private by design

Most free merge sites upload your files to their servers. This tool doesn't: the joining is done by your browser on your own device, and nothing is sent to Sign PDF unless you choose to send the result for signature. That makes it safe for payslips, medical letters and contracts.

Questions people ask

Is there a limit on how many files I can merge?

There is no set limit. Each file can be up to 100 MB, and very large jobs depend on your device's memory. A few dozen ordinary PDFs merge in seconds on a phone.

Can I merge photos with PDFs?

Yes. JPG, PNG and WebP pictures are each placed on an A4 page and slotted into the order with the PDFs.

Does it add a watermark?

No. The merged file contains your pages and nothing else.

Can I change the order of pages inside a file?

Merge first, then open the result in Reorder PDF pages to move individual pages, or Delete PDF pages to drop the ones you don't need.

Need it signed? Send it for signature

Upload the PDF and we place every signature, initials and date box for each signer. They sign on their phone, and you get a sealed PDF with a certificate of completion. From $5 a month.
