Choose a PDFYour files stay in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
Short answer
Open your PDF below, type the page ranges you want, such as 1-3, 4-10, and press Split to get a separate PDF for each range. You can also save every page as its own file, or pull a few pages out into one new PDF. It is free, needs no account, and the PDF never leaves your browser.

How to split a PDF
- 1
Open the PDF
Press Choose a PDF or drop the file on the box. Page previews appear so you can see what is where.
- 2
Choose how to split
Pick By page range and type ranges separated by commas, Every page for one file per page, or Pull out pages to collect chosen pages into one file.
- 3
Download the parts
Press Split PDF, then download each part on its own or all of them in one zip file.
Three ways to split
By page range gives one PDF per range: 1-2, 3-8, 9- makes three files, and a range with no end runs to the last page. Every page makes as many PDFs as there are pages, delivered in a zip. Pull out pages takes the pages you list, in the order you list them, and puts them into one new PDF, which is the quickest way to send someone page 4 of a long report.
Splitting before you send for signature
Long bundles often hold one page that actually needs a signature: the declaration at the end of an application, the acceptance page of a quote. Pull that page out and send just it, and the signer isn't asked to scroll through forty pages of terms they've already read.
If the other pages matter legally, send the whole document instead. A signature on one page out of context is weaker evidence of what was agreed.
Limits worth knowing
- Each part keeps its pages exactly as they were, at full quality
- Bookmarks and fillable form fields may not survive in the parts
- Password-protected PDFs need the password removed first
- Files up to 100 MB; very long documents depend on your device's memory
Questions people ask
How do I save one page of a PDF as its own file?
Choose Pull out pages, type the page number, and press Split PDF. You get a one-page PDF to download.
Does splitting reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied as they are, not redrawn, so text stays sharp and selectable.
Can I split a PDF on my phone?
Yes. It works in Safari and Chrome on iPhone and Android. Multiple parts download as one zip file, which the Files app can open.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Splitting happens in your browser. Nothing is sent to us unless you press Send for signature on one of the parts.
Need it signed? Send it for signature
Upload the PDF and we place every signature, initials and date box for each signer. They sign on their phone, and you get a sealed PDF with a certificate of completion. From $5 a month.
